Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
When it comes to domestic cameras, in addition to old brands such as Seagull and Phoenix, what is more impressive in recent years may be the brand of card machines that have blossomed in the past few years and the current DJI.
In the history of camera development in China, there are still many bright spots, many models embody historical memories and characteristics of the times, and some have become precious collectibles. Today, I would like to introduce some local camera brands in China:
1. The history of Seagull Seagull brand is more like the development history of Shanghai camera Factory and Chinese camera industry.
As early as the beginning of the founding of New China, Shanghai was required to develop the light industrial products of the camera when preparing the first five-year Plan. Later, Shanghai set up a trial production team to take Leica 3B camera as a prototype for trial production; in 1958, the first "Shanghai" brand 58-Ⅰ 35mm head-up framing camera was born, which can be seen as the starting point of seagull camera development, based on which Shanghai camera Factory entered the construction stage.
In 1968, according to the needs of export, the "Shanghai" brand camera was renamed "Seagull" brand, and the DF model became the first seagull SLR camera, with a price of about 1000 yuan.
According to the Records of Shanghai Light Industry, as early as the early 1920s, there were simple camera manufacturers in Shanghai. By contrast, the starting point of camera manufacturing in Shanghai is relatively early, and the Haigull brand camera can also be regarded as a continuation.
When the double-reflex cameras represented by Lu Lai swept the world, Shanghai camera Factory also produced double-reflex cameras, of which the more famous is Shanghai Type 4 120 double-reflex, which is not only well received at home, but also exported to foreign countries.
Since 1973, with the support of the state, Songjiang established a new factory of Shanghai camera Factory; in 1978, the merged Shanghai camera Factory moved to Songjiang; in 1980, Shanghai camera Factory became the largest camera manufacturer in the country.
In the early 1980s, Shanghai camera General Factory began to shift from 120 cameras to 135 cameras; at the end of 1986, the production line of Minolta Xmur300 cameras from Japan was introduced; and in 1988, Shanghai Seagull camera Company was established. the core is composed of Shanghai camera General Factory, No.2 Factory, No.3 Factory, Shanghai second Photographic equipment Factory and Shanghai Nonferrous Optical Glass Factory.
In 2004, the seagull camera officially stopped production, and the performance of the later Shanghai Seagull Digital camera Co., Ltd. was mediocre, without the brilliance of the Shanghai camera factory in the past.
two。 The emergence of the Phoenix brand has a certain origin with Shanghai camera Factory and Seagull brand cameras.
In 1965, according to the national industrial deployment plan, a number of production factories, including Shanghai No.2 camera Factory, set up Jiangxi Optical instrument General Factory in Damao Mountain area.
In 1970, Jiangxi Optical instrument General Factory was initially completed and put into production, and began to trial-produce the moving products of Shanghai No. 2 camera Factory and the Seagull 205 camera. The camera produced at this time still uses the "Seagull" trademark. Until 1983, the trademark "Phoenix" was registered and used.
By virtue of the accumulation of talent and technology and favorable policies, coupled with its own appropriate price, Phoenix cameras have responded well in the market, resulting in a domestic camera seagull and Phoenix "two birds competing" situation.
In the following period of time, Phoenix also continued to cooperate with some foreign manufacturers, and sold well both at home and abroad. In the 1990s, the phenomenon of seagulls "eating old money" became more and more frequent, and Phoenix did not make great progress in technological research and development. as a result, the two domestic brands failed to keep up with the development of the times and began to fall out of favor under the wave of digitization.
After the new century, Phoenix also stopped production.
3. Dongfeng Dongfeng camera was manufactured in the 1970s and is based on the Swedish Hasubrad 500c 120 single-lens reflective camera.
At that time, it was named Model 6920 (meaning the 20th anniversary of National Day), and then Dongfeng camera was changed to Dongfeng brand camera.
In order to fill the gap that China cannot produce high-grade cameras, the state has invested a lot of money and assigned Shanghai camera Factory to trial-produce Chinese high-grade cameras. Limited by various conditions, although Dongfeng sleeve machine is close to the technological level of Hasu in terms of machining accuracy and shape and position difference, its quality is still slightly lower than that of Hasu.
A total of 97 Dongfeng cameras have been produced and have become a valuable collection.
4. Red Flag camera is also a product launched by Shanghai camera Factory.
In 1969, in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the National Day, Shanghai No. 2 camera Factory accepted the task of developing a camera to imitate the famous international brand Leica.
After a year of efforts, 10 "Red Flag 20" prototypes came out of the factory. The red flag on the camera brand is taken from the font written by Chairman Mao for the "Red Flag" magazine, which refers to the 20th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China. According to the figures provided by the factory, "Red Flag 20" has produced a total of 271. Its style is divided into two types: the back of the camera, the small door and the large door. At that time, the consumption object was limited to a few units such as Xinhua News Agency.
Leica is a big imitated camera in the history of camera development in various countries. The former Soviet Union, France, Britain, Japan and so on have all imitated Leica cameras, and Red Flag 20 is also a relatively bright performance among them. The shape, feel, and lens quality were all relatively advanced at that time.
Now, like Dongfeng 120, Red Flag 20 has become a collection treasure.
5. In the mid-1960s of the Pearl River (Pearl River), for the need of war readiness, southwest and northwest China launched the "third-line construction" Huaying Mountain became the radiation supporting base of Chongqing conventional weapons base. Nine military enterprises have been arranged in the foothills of Huaying Mountain to form a production base for optical instruments. To the late 1970s, began to develop and produce civilian products, the Pearl River brand camera was born under this background.
The Pearl River camera refers to the advantages of Seagull DF and Nikon F camera, after further improvement, the prototype is named "Meido" brand. In 1974, after further improvement, the camera was named "Pearl River Smuri 201". After 1978, it began mass production and sold to the whole country and even exported to Southeast Asia, Japan and other countries.
In 1987, Guangzhou camera Factory successfully reapplied for the "Pearl River" brand camera trademark, and Huayingshan Optical Factory was forced to switch to "Mingjia" and "Huaxi" trademarks, and its reputation was not as good as before. Later, after various adjustments and relocation, enterprises no longer work together to produce cameras.
DJI DJI Innovations, founded in 2006, is a UAV brand owned by Shenzhen DJI Innovations Technology Co., Ltd.
Its products include aerial photography UAV, educational robot, plant protection UAV, hand-held stabilized head, Ruying series SLR stabilizer, and its accessories. The fields involved include professional photography, agricultural management, etc., which have a great influence at home and abroad.
DJI has jointly developed an aerial camera with Hasu, which is used in its drones. In the digital age, there is also a "domestic light" in the camera field.
Domestic camera brands also had a brilliant era, but after entering the 1990s, did not adapt to the development of technology and market, began to decline, and gradually become history.
Behind the domestic camera brand, we can also see the characteristics of the times and historical traces, photos and cameras themselves, have become valuable memories.
