CTOnews.com March 5 news, CINNO Research latest report shows that in January panel factory low activity rate, February panel prices finally ushered in a comprehensive small rebound signs. However, if the international inflation pressure continues and the demand side has not fully recovered, this round of price increase cycle may be judged whether it can continue depending on the demand side in the second quarter.

CINNO Research predicts that LCD TV panel prices of all major size will rise slightly in February, and panel manufacturers will usher in a favorable situation in which both prices and operating rates will rebound for a short time.

Data show that in January, the domestic LCD panel factory operation rate dropped by 8.5 percentage points month-on-month, only 64.7%, of which G8.5/8.6 production line operation rate dropped by 9.2 percentage points month-on-month, 64.8%, while G10.5 / G11 production line operation rate dropped by 16 percentage points month-on-month, only 62.6%. As the previous panel price increase trend was less than expected, major panel factories increased their output control efforts at the beginning of the year, arranged annual repairs during the Spring Festival, and actively reduced the number of films cast to cope with the impact of the Spring Festival holiday and the off-season of overseas markets. It is expected that with the end of the above-mentioned short-term adjustment in February, the crop rate is expected to rise to about 70%, and in March, the crop rate will continue to be raised depending on the price situation.

The report pointed out that there were also some new changes in the terminal market in February. On the one hand, international customers are still not optimistic about the price increase due to the financial deficit and the expectation of shipment in 2023, and the acceptance of panel price increase is still not high, and the panel factory still maintains the price unchanged temporarily. On the other hand, due to the impact of low panel factory activity, the channel inventory level has been relatively low, domestic first-tier brands and other second-tier and third-tier brands, foundries, agent channels, etc. have increased prices, and panel prices are expected to rise across the board in the second quarter.

CINNO Research believes that in February, as more terminal factories accept price increases, LCD TV panel prices will usher in a small round of overall rise, with major specifications rising from US $1 to US $5, of which 65"is expected to rise the most, reaching US $5 (CTOnews.com Note: Currently about 35 yuan). Due to the short-term stimulation of the low inventory level and price increase expectation of the previous channel, the panel factory may have a short-term favorable situation in which the panel price and the operation rate both rise from February to March, but the demand end situation still needs to be closely watched.
