The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says loose seat frame bolts may reduce the performance of the seatbelt protection system and increase the risk of injury in a collision.

Tesla said in the recall application that since December last year, it had identified five warranty claims that might be related to these situations, but had not seen any casualties that might be related to the problem.

Tesla said that users need to check the bolts that secure the second row of driver side and passenger side seat back frames to the lower seat frame and tighten them carefully (CTOnews.com Note: Tesla did not mention whether only US-made models are affected, everyone can check their cars).
