CTOnews.com news on March 4, the independent research and development project "Development of liquid hydrogen Storage and Hydrogenation demonstration system and its key equipment" undertaken by the sixth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation has recently passed the acceptance of the Aerospace Science and Technology Group, marking a major breakthrough in the development of liquid hydrogen storage and hydrogenation demonstration system and its key equipment.

The technical breakthrough, improvement of facilities and rapid layout of hydrogen filling stations are the prerequisites for the popularization and application of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and the accelerated development of hydrogen energy industry. In order to solve the problems of high cost of construction, long period of operation and maintenance, and dependence on import of key equipment in domestic hydrogenation stations, 101 took the lead in developing liquid hydrogen storage and hydrogenation stations based on liquid hydrogen storage and filling as the technical route. The process, control and safety process of liquid hydrogen storage and hydrogenation station for fuel cell vehicles are studied, the technical bottlenecks such as liquid hydrogen supercharging vaporization are solved, and the energy efficiency is improved.

101 Institute broke through the overall design technology of liquid hydrogen storage and hydrogenation station, formed the overall technical scheme of liquid hydrogen storage-pressurized vaporization-high pressure hydrogen filling, and solved the problem of process realization and operation strategy of liquid hydrogen in hydrogenation station. To overcome the phase transition suppression technology of liquid hydrogen flow chamber, a 45MPa high pressure liquid hydrogen pump was developed to fill the domestic technical gap and create conditions for the realization of domestic substitution. Breaking through the technology of pressurized vaporization of high pressure liquid hydrogen and comprehensive utilization of cooling capacity, a prototype of vaporization cooling principle and its test platform with advanced process, high degree of automation and safe operation have been developed. The principle prototype of liquid hydrogen pump pressure vaporization device with liquid hydrogen pressurization pressure 50.6MPa and liquid hydrogen supercharging flow rate 822L / h was delivered. Through the liquid hydrogen test, the first development and verification platform for key equipment of liquid hydrogen storage and hydrogenation station in China was built. By mastering and verifying the core technology, the project team has mastered its own intellectual property rights, laying an important foundation for hydrogen business development.

The liquid hydrogen pump pressure vaporization test platform established by 101 can provide valuable real medium testing conditions for the development of other low temperature and high pressure liquid hydrogen equipment and promote the domestic development process of liquid hydrogen equipment. Relying on the results of the whole station process package formed by the overall technology of liquid hydrogen storage and hydrogenation, it has been successfully applied to the construction of the first comprehensive liquid hydrogen oil and power supply service station in Zhejiang Petroleum Hongguang (Cherry Blossom).
