CTOnews.com March 4 news, foreign technology media FT quoted market research agency Canalys data, foldable mobile phones in 2022 shipments of 14.2 million units, of which Samsung shipped nearly 12 million units.

Huawei shipped fewer than 2 million foldable phones, while OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi and Glory shipped less than 1 million units in 2022, the report said. Motorola's Razr foldable phones performed worst, shipping about 40, 000 units worldwide.

CTOnews.com also learned from the report that shipments of foldable phones fell for the first time in the fourth quarter of 2022, but Canalys believes the development of foldable phones is healthy. FT estimates that shipments of foldable phones will exceed 30 million in 2023.
