Huawei said that the Eco series of antennas can reduce the energy consumption of the site and improve the energy efficiency of the entire network through energy-efficient antennas. Eco series antennas will help operators to increase network traffic without increasing energy consumption, and build a "green, low-carbon, leading performance 5G network".

According to reports, the antenna as a key element of the wireless network, all radio frequency energy needs to be sent to the mobile terminal through the antenna. Therefore, improving the energy efficiency of the antenna plays an important role in improving the energy efficiency of the whole network. Huawei Eco series antennas use full-band SDIF,Meta Lens and other technologies to improve the comprehensive energy efficiency of antennas.

Huawei data show that in the European Energy efficiency Test Agency, Huawei antennas can help operators achieve about 15% energy efficiency of base stations and improve the energy efficiency of the entire network.

Radio frequency efficiency: Eco series antennas use Huawei's unique SDIF technology in the full band to reduce radio frequency energy loss in the feed network and improve efficiency by about 15%. Under the same coverage requirements, the transmission power required is smaller, thus saving energy. On the contrary, the network coverage quality can be improved at the same transmission power.

Coverage efficiency: Eco series antennas use Meta Lens technology to optimize antenna electromagnetic beam directivity, make more energy projected to the target area, reduce invalid electromagnetic signals and interference to neighboring areas, and further improve the quality of network coverage.
