CTOnews.com reported on March 3 that the Seventh China Internet copyright Protection and Development Conference was held in Chengdu on February 27. The National Analysis report on copyright Registration of computer Software was officially released during the Congress.

Data from the China copyright Protection Center show that the total number of computer software copyright registrations nationwide has exceeded 10 million. The number of annual software registrations has continuously crossed the scale of 200000, 400000 and 1 million in 10 years, especially since 2018, it has always been maintained at more than 1 million. Compared with 2012, the number of annual software registrations in China has increased 12 times.

CTOnews.com learned from the data of the China copyright Protection Center that nearly 70% of the registrations in the past 10 years came from eastern China, and the software strong provinces (cities) represented by Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang firmly occupied the top five of the registration rankings.

China copyright Protection Center said that with the improvement of China's software innovation capability, the types of registration software are growing, and over the past 10 years, games, medical, geographic information, finance, education and other software has gradually become a hot spot of registration, and the number of software registrations in emerging fields such as App, cloud computing, Internet of things, big data, and artificial intelligence has also changed from less to more, and has quickly become a key registration category.
