CTOnews.com March 3 news, Microsoft today released a preview update of Win11 Build 25309 for Dev Channel's Windows Insider project members. In this update, users can use the keyboard shortcut (WIN + CTRL + V) combination to quickly open the volume setting menu.

The new preview also updates the automatic Color Management (Auto Color Management) feature, which can only be achieved on Intel Generation 12 series, AMD RX 400 series or NVIDIA GTX 10 series or higher.

Introduce a new volume control experience: Microsoft has introduced an enhanced volume control experience in Quick setup (Quick Settings) to subdivide the volume output of each application.

In addition, Microsoft also introduced a new keyboard shortcut (WIN + CTRL + V) to make it easy for users to directly access the volume control.

Microsoft also added support for Dolby and DTS to the control to make it easier for users to switch. Microsoft only invites some Dev channel users to test the feature at this stage, and it will be open to all Dev channel users in the future.

Update Touch Keyboard Settings Microsoft introduced new touch keyboard settings in Build 25188 preview, but because some BUG has disabled this feature in Build 25217.

Microsoft reopened the setting option after fixing these BUG, and under Settings > time and language > Keyboard, Show Touch Keyboard provides three options:

Never: even if the hardware keyboard is not connected, it will not jump out of the touch keyboard when enabled.

When no keyboard attached: the touch keyboard is displayed only when the hardware keyboard is not connected.

Always: even if connected to the hardware keyboard, but also jump out of the touch keyboard.

Extended automatic color management Microsoft launched automatic color management (hardware accelerated system-level color management) for SDR displays last October.

Insiders in Dev Channel will now be able to turn on ACM for their SDR monitors and allow all colors from all Windows applications, whether they are color managed or not, to be displayed accurately and consistently on each supported monitor.

To open ACM, go to Settings > display > Advanced display, select the correct display, and open automatically manage colors for applications.

Improved voice access in-application command help page: Microsoft has made a comprehensive transformation of the in-application command help page in voice access to make it easier to use and understand.

The search bar allows users to quickly find commands, and different categories provide further guidance. Each command now has its own variant description and examples to make it easier to understand and use.

Users can view all commands on the voice access bar from help > or use the voice command "what can I say" to access the command help page.

Microsoft has expanded its support for English dialects, including English-UK, English-India, English-New Zealand, English-Canada, and English-Australia.
