Except for a few minor features and design updates, Instax Mini 12 and Instax Mini 11 look almost the same. However, the most significant change is the lens structure, which can be more interesting and intuitive by rotating the lens of Instax Mini 12 to enter close-up mode, just like using a traditional stupid camera, rather than through a button. Most obviously, the shape of the camera is closer to a rectangle than a square, but has the same rounded edges as the previous generation. The new camera also doesn't have the curved side of the Instax Mini 11 and is narrower, making it easier to take pictures. In addition, Fuji has replaced the black style with a new and interesting mint green, which may be more attractive to young people.
