VR head Xianzhong, Standalone VR shipped 1.014 million units, Tethered VR shipped 89000 units, this is also the first time since the advent of Standalone VR in China to break through the annual shipping volume of 1 million units. Among them, Standalone products are devices with independent computing power, while Tethered products need to rely on other equipment computing power.

IDC said that AR hardware makers, mainly start-ups, released consumer-grade new products one after another in 2022, with prices and product positioning similar. As AR products were mainly high-priced commercial models in previous years, the influx of new products led to a sharp decline in the average unit price of AR products in 2022. By the fourth quarter of 2022, shipments of AR products under $500 (CTOnews.com) accounted for nearly 90 per cent of shipments. At present, most consumer products still need to be connected to the host (mobile phones, computers, etc.), and the main function is to expand the screen. From the perspective of shipping channels, in addition to individual product models shipped in large quantities to specific commercial end users, the online channel based on e-commerce platform is still the main channel.
