CTOnews.com March 2 news, Tesla officially announced the Mexican super factory, the next generation of entry-level models will be the first to be produced in the Mexican factory.

On today's Tesla Investor Day, Tesla announced that the project (now known as the Mexican superfactory) would be built on the outskirts of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. Tesla also released a rendering of the factory, but did not disclose any details about the factory except that it will be used to produce vehicles based on the carmaker's new vehicle platform.

It is worth mentioning that the "next generation car" mentioned by Tesla here is not a certain model, and Tesla executives also stressed that it can compete in many fields. Musk said the company could have 10 models and annual sales of 20 million vehicles. Asked about what the company says are two future models in the pipeline, Mr. Musk declined to comment.

Mr Musk says it is important to make cars affordable, and even small price changes can lead to huge changes in demand. "when cars are cheaper, demand goes crazy."

According to previously known information, Tesla is already in negotiations with the Mexican government, and one of the reasons for choosing Monterrey is that it is close to the Texas superfactory and Tesla's headquarters, about a seven-hour drive from the new site.

CTOnews.com reported yesterday that Mexican Foreign Ministry officials said Tesla's plant in Mexico would produce 1 million electric vehicles a year for Mexico's domestic and international markets. He also said that the Tesla plant in Mexico is worth more than $5 billion.
