CTOnews.com March 2 news, the British government Competition and Market Authority (CMA) in the process of investigating Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard found that Nintendo Switch is "technically" unable to run "call of Duty".

CMA claimed in a recent report that Nintendo Switch could not run call of Duty "with game quality similar to that of Xbox or PlayStation".

You may wonder why CMA is saying such nonsense, because the focus of regulators on Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard is call of Duty, which has led Microsoft to promise global regulators that it will introduce call of Duty to Nintendo's Switch mainframe platform and provide Sony with a guarantee contract for at least 10 years.

The CMA report aims to assess the consequences of Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard and the feasibility of the historic deal recently reached between Microsoft and Nintendo.

They now conclude that although Microsoft and Nintendo recently reached a legal agreement to "bring call of Duty content to Nintendo players on the same day of Xbox, with full functionality and equivalent content," the findings show that Nintendo Switch hardware will never run call of Duty.

Of course, the release of the more powerful Nintendo Switch 2 / Pro may change that, but as things stand, Nintendo Switch is unable to make a deal with Microsoft for the time being.
