Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, March 2 (Xinhua)-- according to a list released by the European Patent Office last week, Apple has obtained a patent for an extended reality (XR) head display with a hybrid (Self-Mixing) sensor and optical elements. The patent focuses on the front-facing camera system, which can be self-reset to avoid dislocation after the head drop and collision.

According to the patent, if the user falls or other pressure events occur during the removal of the head display, it may lead to the dislocation of the components in the head display device.

In order to ensure the normal operation of the equipment, the patent uses an optical self-mixing sensor to accurately measure the position of the components in the head-mounted device. The actuator may then move the optical element to compensate for any detected position changes and / or take other compensatory actions.

CTOnews.com also found something interesting from the report: there are three inventors of the patent, but two have joined Zuckerberg's Meta.
