CTOnews.com March 2, Apple has offered classic black and white options for iPhone since its launch. According to a survey of American iPhone users by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), black and white are no longer the first choice for consumers, and consumers prefer purple on iPhone 14 models.

IPhone 11, launched in 2019, was the first to use purple, and the purple version was released again in iPhone 12 (which did not appear in the starting line-up). The company omitted purple in iPhone 13, but re-added purple in the iPhone 14 series.

According to CIRP, as of December 2022, 42% of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users chose dark purple, 23% chose dark space black, and 11% chose silver.

On iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models, blue accounts for 27%; midnight color for 26%; purple for 22%; red for 14%; and starlight for 12%.
