CTOnews.com, March 2 (Xinhua)-- Apple has become the largest blue-collar employer in the country's electronics industry since August 2021, attracting 100000 jobs, according to statistics released by Indian technology website Inc42.

Tu Yuan Rawpixel according to statistics, of the 100000 jobs absorbed, 62300 blue-collar jobs have been created by Apple suppliers such as Foxconn, Pegatron and Weituang Capital, accounting for 62 per cent.

Foxconn has the largest number of employees, creating 35500 jobs; Pegatron has created 14000 jobs; and Willon has created 12800 jobs. Thousands more jobs are expected to be added to each company by the end of the fiscal year.

In addition to the three major suppliers, other suppliers in India have added about 40000 new jobs in the past 19 months. Of these, Salcomp added 11000 jobs.
