CTOnews.com learned from the report that Topics API provides three switch options in terms of advertising privacy settings, including:

"Site-suggested ads" (ads recommended by the website)

Users can decide whether to receive advertising content from a site, and the setting submenu of this option also includes an option to prevent individual sites from using API.

"Ad topics" (advertisement theme)

This option covers the collection of topics related to users browsing the site by calling Topics API. Users can also list individual topics that they do not want API to collect and provide to advertising services.

"Ad measurement" (advertising control)

This option allows users the right to allow or block API to report other diagnostic data to advertising services and websites, such as when topics are collected or advertised, and whether users interact with ads. The user's browsing history is confidential.
