CTOnews.com, March 1, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce announced that in order to speed up the elimination and renewal of old cars and encourage automobile consumption, Beijing will continue to implement the subsidy policy of replacing passenger cars with new energy vehicles this year.

According to reports, the standards and methods of subsidies this year are the same as those of last year. During the period from March 1 to August 31, 2023, individual consumers scrapped or transferred out of passenger cars registered in Beijing for more than one year, and purchased new energy minibuses from automobile sales enterprises in Beijing. They will receive a subsidy of 8000 yuan or 10000 yuan. Car owners who are eligible for the subsidy can receive a subsidy from April 1, 2023 to September 30, 2023. Officials said that the car replacement subsidy policy has obviously led to the sales of new energy vehicles. As of February 12 this year, more than 20,000 vehicles were subsidized through the subsidy platform, realizing new car sales of about 5 billion yuan. This led to an increase of 17.1% in sales of new energy vehicles in 2022 compared with the same period last year.

In addition, Beijing will hold the "2023 Beijing car purchase Festival" to create a nodal IP and a series of carnival activities featuring new car display and release, car purchase discount promotion, dynamic test ride experience, and immersive interaction, so as to help consumers understand the relevant support policies and preferential measures for car purchase.

It is said that dozens of enterprises, including BAIC Group, Xianglong Burui Group, American Express Group, Beijing Bosrida Group, as well as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, Buick, Red Flag, Volkswagen, Guangben, Nezha, and Jihu, will participate in the event.
