While Stripe is still on track to complete the round, the company is now pricing per share at about $20, down from about $23 previously, the person familiar with the matter said.

A month ago, it was reported that Stripe was valued at between $55 billion and $60 billion, a big discount to Stripe's valuation of $95 billion when it last raised money in early 2021.

According to public information, Stripe was founded in 2011 to help large and small enterprises deal with online payments and commercial loans, and will automatically calculate and levy sales tax.
