CTOnews.com March 1 news, open source package manager Homebrew recently released version 4.0 update, further speed up the installation speed, improve automatic updates, and so on.

Support for Windows Subsystem for Linux version 1 has been discontinued in this update. If you run the package manager on WSL in a Win10 or Win11 system, you need to upgrade to WSL2.

This update also adds support for Glibc 2.13 and later, and introduces a new Homebrew formul to install Python 3.11.

Homebrew is a free and open source software package management system to simplify the installation of software on macOS systems, originally written by Max Howell. It is well known in the Ruby on Rails community for its scalability. Homebrew uses GitHub to expand support for software packages through user contributions.
