According to CTOnews.com news on March 1, Tesla today announced the start of opening some supercharging stations to non-Tesla electric car owners in the United States, and explained how it works.

According to Tesla, there are already more than 40000 supercharging stations worldwide, which can replenish 200 miles in 15 minutes (CTOnews.com Note: about 321.87 km).

If you are an electric car owner in the United States, how do you want to recharge at Tesla's supercharging station now?

Quite simply, non-Tesla owners can simply download the Tesla app and create an account, then bind a credit card to some of the Magic Dock-equipped supercharging stations to recharge. It is worth mentioning that at present, such charging piles are mainly located in New York (eight in New York and two in California).

In the Tesla app, electric car owners can see the charging station on the map and select the gear you want to charge, then simply grab the handle (CCS adapter) stretched out from the Magic Dock and connect it to your car.

Now, third-party users can access Tesla's overcharged network in two ways:

-pay by electricity: pay as you like

-purchase membership package: the subscription fee is $12.99 per month, with a maximum reduction of $0.12 per kilowatt-hour.

As a reference, shared by some car owners, Tesla overcharged piles in different regions have electricity charges ranging from 13 to 69 US dollars. It is worth mentioning that third-party car owners can see the real-time electricity prices of various overcharged piles in Tesla App, but Tesla car owners can not yet.
