February 28, according to foreign media reports, Tesla announced on Monday local time that its Berlin super factory produced 4000 Model Y vehicles in the past week, reaching a new production milestone.

After the weekly production of the Berlin superfactory Model Y reached 4000 vehicles, another plant owned by Tesla, which currently produces only Model Y, the Texas superfactory, is expected to reach that level soon.

Foreign media also mentioned in the report that with the weekly production of the Berlin super factory reaching 4000 vehicles, it is not surprising that the Texas super factory will achieve this goal in the near future. In addition, foreign media also believe that it is not surprising that the weekly output of this super factory reached 5000 vehicles before the end of the second quarter.

Tesla Texas Super Factory, which was decided to be built in the summer of 2020, held a grand opening ceremony on April 7 last year after nearly two years of construction. The construction of Tesla's Berlin super factory was decided in November 2019, and the opening ceremony was held on March 22 last year.

Tesla, the two super factories with similar commissioning time, are also basically equal in output. In the fourth-quarter results released on January 25, Tesla disclosed that the weekly production of the two superfactories Model Y had exceeded 3000 vehicles at the end of the fourth quarter of last year.

It is worth noting that the Tesla Texas super factory, which also plans to produce an electric pickup truck Cybertruck, is scheduled to start production later this year, and after producing two cars at the same time, the weekly output of this super factory will most likely be higher than that of the Berlin super factory.
