Pico responded that the target for 2023 was lower than that for 2022, making it inconvenient to release specific figures, but it was "a little higher" than 500000.

In addition, sources said that the main direction of Pico this year is to reduce sales expectations, return to rationality, and reduce the corresponding investment of resources, and promote cost reduction, which is more important to control losses than meaningless sales targets. By the third quarter of 2022, the latest data available, Meta's market share had fallen to about 75 per cent. Over the same period, PICO's market share more than tripled to about 15 per cent. None of the other VR head display manufacturers has a market share of more than 3 per cent.
