CTOnews.com February 28 news, Xiaomi last year for Xiaomi 12S Ultra launched Imaging Limited Edition and Concept two derivative versions, the former equipped with 52 mm CPL and 8x starlight filter; the latter equipped with Leica M lens.

Leica recently invited the well-known digital channel Mrwhotheboss to test the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept, which costs $43000 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 299,000 yuan), and compared it with the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

It is said that only three units of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept version were produced, replacing the ultra-wide angle camera in the retail version with a second 1-inch sensor.

The exposed 1-inch sensor in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept takes more beautiful photos than a typical smartphone camera sensor. However, this is only possible with the Leica Summilux-M 1.4/35 ASPH, which retails for $5395.

The Mi 12S Ultra Concept can be considered a telephoto camera equipped with an f / 3.78 aperture and an equivalent focal length of 94.5 mm. Mr. Whotheboss compared the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept to the telephoto camera in the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which comes with 12 megapixel, 1/3.5 inch, f / 2.8 and 77 mm telephoto cameras.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept is not without its flaws, despite its massive size. The bare sensor lacks autofocus and cannot focus on objects more than 20 meters away.
