CTOnews.com news on February 28, the National Bureau of Statistics today issued a statistical bulletin on national economic and social development in 2022 (hereinafter referred to as "Statistical Bulletin").

According to preliminary calculation, the GDP for the whole year was 121.0207 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.0% over the previous year. Of this total, the added value of the primary industry was 8.8345 trillion yuan, up 4.1 percent over the previous year; the added value of the secondary industry was 48.3164 trillion yuan, up 3.8 percent; and the added value of the tertiary industry was 63.8698 trillion yuan, up 2.3 percent.

In 2022, the per capita GDP for the whole year was 85698 yuan, an increase of 3.0% over the previous year. The gross national income (GNI) was 119.7215 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.8 percent over the previous year. The total labor productivity was 152977 yuan per person, an increase of 4.2% over the previous year.

At the end of the year, the country's population was 1.41175 billion, a decrease of 850000 compared with the end of the previous year, of which 920.71 million were resident in cities and towns. The number of people born in the whole year was 9.56 million, the birth rate was 6.77 ‰, the death rate was 10.41 million, the mortality rate was 7.37 ‰, and the natural growth rate was-0.60 ‰.

Statistical bulletin shows that the new industry new business type new model is growing rapidly. Among the industries above scale for the whole year, the added value of high-tech manufacturing increased by 7.4 percent over the previous year, accounting for 15.5 percent of the added value of industries above scale, while the added value of equipment manufacturing increased by 5.6 percent, accounting for 31.8 percent of the added value of industries above scale.

Among the services above the scale of the year, the business income of strategic emerging service enterprises increased by 4.8% over the previous year. For the whole year, investment in high-tech industries increased by 18.9% over the previous year. In 2001, the output of new energy vehicles was 7.003 million, an increase of 90.5 percent over the previous year, and the output of solar cells (photovoltaic cells) was 340 million kilowatts, an increase of 46.8 percent.

Among the industries above scale for the whole year, the general equipment manufacturing industry decreased by 1.2 percent, the special equipment manufacturing industry increased by 3.6 percent, the automobile manufacturing industry grew by 6.3 percent, the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry grew by 11.9 percent, and the computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry grew by 7.6 percent.

According to the statistical bulletin, China's annual output of integrated circuits in 2022 was 324.19 billion, down 9.8 percent from the previous year; exports of integrated circuits for the whole year were 273.4 billion, down 12 percent from the previous year, with an amount of 1.0254 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.5 percent over the previous year; and imports of integrated circuits were 538.4 billion, down 15.3 percent from the previous year, and the amount was 2.7663 trillion yuan, down 0.9 percent from the previous year.

In addition, China exported 822.24 million mobile phones, down 13.8 percent from the previous year, with an amount of 952.7 billion yuan, an increase of 0.9 percent over the previous year, and 1.6456 billion LCD modules, with an amount of 180.7 billion yuan.
