CTOnews.com, February 27 (Xinhua)-- Tesla is currently suspending the launch of fully self-driving test version (FSD Beta) to new car owners until software remedies for the recall are released, according to Teslarati, a US auto news website.

CTOnews.com has reported that earlier this month, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a recall document revealed that Tesla voluntarily recalled 362758 vehicles that had been installed or waiting to be installed with FSD Beta. NHTSA believes that FSD Beta may allow vehicles to do unsafe behavior at intersections, with the risk of a collision.

Tesla pointed out: "before the emergence of the software version with remediation, we have suspended the launch of FSD Beta to all people who choose to join but have not yet received the software version containing FSD Beta."

Like most of Tesla's previous "recalls", patches for FSD beta are expected to be resolved through free OTA updates. Tesla also stressed that the recall of FSD beta only affects vehicles in the United States and Canada.

Tesla pointed out that the FSD beta is always designed to remind drivers to pay close attention to road conditions. In that case, users of the system should realize that they take full responsibility while the system is running. Considering the recall, drivers who are not careful when operating FSD Beta may end up violating traffic rules, increasing their chances of collisions.

Tesla stressed that FSD Beta users do not need to take any action, nor do they need to make a reservation. Tesla also assured FSD Beta owners that the recalled software remedies would not remove the FSD Beta system from their vehicles.
