CTOnews.com, February 27 (Xinhua)-- the Hanspeter Luzi vintage Apple Archives, which will be auctioned in California next month, contains more than 500 classic Apple products released between 1977 and 2008, spanning nearly half a century, collected by the late Swiss teacher and entrepreneur Hanspeter Luzi.

Julian will hold live and online auctions of the collection at Beverly Hills on March 30, and will hold an exhibition from March 27 to March 30, when the products will be on display.

Some of these items are very rare, such as the 1983 Lisa I computer, which is estimated to fetch between $10000 and $20000. The Lisa I computer is a very important item for Apple collectors. it was one of the first personal computers to provide a graphical user interface and a famous business failure, selling only about 10,000 units. Other items in the collection are cheaper, including a 1986 Apple Macintosh Plus computer with a keyboard and mouse, which is now estimated to fetch $300 to $500, and a 2001 special edition of the Blue Dalmatian, now the iconic iMac G3, that will fetch $200 to $300.

In addition to computers, the collection includes other interesting Apple gadgets, such as a 1994 Apple QuickTake 100 camera, which is expected to fetch between $200 and $300, described by Julian as "one of the first commercially successful digital camera series", which was discontinued in 1997 with a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and 24-bit color support. There is also a 1983-1984 Apple joystick for Apple's IIE or IIC computer systems, with its original packaging, and the 1979-1983 original Summagraphics MacTablet, one of the earliest commercial graphics boards.

CTOnews.com notes that some vintage Apple products have sold at auction in recent weeks, with an unopened original iPhone selling for nearly $40,000 at auction last October. Just last week, another flawless 16-year-old iPhone sold for more than $63000, more than 100 times its 2007 release price of $599. Steve Jobs' shabby Birkenstock sandals sold for nearly $220000 last November.
