In addition, the fourth-quarter gross profit margin of ideal car returned to health, reaching 20.2%, and the annual gross profit margin reached 19.4%. Under the background of continuously increasing investment in R & D and capacity, by the end of the fourth quarter, the ideal car cash reserve reached 58.45 billion yuan, which once again proved that the ideal car itself has sufficient hematopoietic capacity.

It can be seen that, despite persistent macroeconomic uncertainty, ideal car revenue and delivery have both hit record highs.

In addition, the financial report data also show that ideal Motor's fourth-quarter operating profit (excluding equity incentives) exceeded 500 million yuan, reaching 568.7 million yuan, with an operating profit margin of 3.2%. In addition, the fourth-quarter net profit was 265.3 million yuan and the quarterly free cash flow was 3.26 billion yuan. The positive financial data indicates that the enterprise has gradually begun to shift from the start-up stage to a larger scale.

The focus of expenditure is the cost of research and development. In the fourth quarter, the ideal automobile R & D expenditure was 2.07 billion yuan, accounting for 11.7%. For the whole year, the annual R & D expenditure in 2022 was 6.78 billion yuan, accounting for 15.0%, double the R & D investment in 2021 and an increase of 106.3% over the same period last year. The R & D expenditure increases steadily, and overtakes the investment of most mainstream car-building new brands.

In addition, the sales, general and administrative expenses of ideal car in the fourth quarter are 1.63 billion yuan, accounting for 9.2% of the quarterly expenses. According to the comprehensive data, the expenditure of ideal car in this project has been lower than that of most mainstream car-building new power brands.

Ideal Motors once again set a new high for the outlook for the first quarter of 2023, with expected deliveries of 52000 to 55000 vehicles, an increase of 64.0% to 73.4% over the same period last year, and total revenue of 17.45 billion yuan to 18.45 billion yuan, an increase of 82.5% to 93.0%.

In addition, according to the introduction, so far, ideal Automobile has obtained a total of more than 2200 patents, covering extended range electric, smart space, intelligent driving, R & D operations and many other business areas.

At the same time, ideal Automobile is also constantly expanding the layout of its service network. As of January 31, 2023, ideal Automobile has 296 retail centers covering 123 cities, and 320 after-sales maintenance centers and authorized sheet spray centers covering 222 cities.
