In the 5G era, based on the continuous improvement of network capabilities, leading operators in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East have actively promoted the ecological construction of digital business, opened up the all-digital consumption scene of "connection + social networking, music, TV, personal cloud, digital content publishing", and become an one-stop digital experience service provider.

With the continuous improvement of 5G and optical fiber permeability, the family scene has become the best foothold for the value operation of operators. Operators are making the "connection +" wider to create a better experience and more efficient operation and maintenance. The progress of high-quality home broadband deployment represented by 5G FWA and 10GPON has far exceeded the expectations of operators, achieving an excellent ARPU increase of 30% and 60% in typical markets such as Europe and the Middle East.

At the same time, Li Peng pointed out that the digital wave of industries driven by 5G, AI, cloud computing and other GPT technologies has brought new strategic opportunities to operators. Government and enterprise customers need more Offering combinations, and operators are making "connection +" thicker. In the 5.5g era, Huawei is willing to join hands with the whole industry to achieve 10 Gigabit experience through breakthroughs in root technologies such as wireless, optical and IP; to extend the connection to perception through the exploration of scenarios such as vehicle-road coordination and environmental monitoring; and to cooperate with industry green development planning through the construction of a unified energy efficiency index system.

Taking green development as an example, ITU-T has released the network carbon emission intensity index NCIe as a formal standard in 2022. Leading operators in China and Europe have actively verified the innovation of multi-dimensional energy efficiency indicators on the existing network, resulting in energy efficiency improvements ranging from 20% to 50%.
