CTOnews.com February 27 news, mobile communication released lightweight 5G RedCap module Rx 255C series, based on Qualcomm Snapdragon X35 5G modem and RF system, can be used for entry-level mobile broadband, notebook computer, industrial automation, smart city, smart energy, smart wearable devices and so on.

The Rx 255C series is compliant with 3GPP Release 17 and supports 5G Standalone (SA) mode, with a maximum bandwidth of 20MHz in the sub-6GHz spectrum.

This series of 5G RedCap modules includes two versions of RG 255C and RM 255C, designed for global markets, backward compatible with LTE networks, and can widely cover mainstream operators around the world.

The Rx 255C series has a theoretical downlink peak rate of approximately 220 Mbps and a maximum uplink rate of approximately 100 Mbps, meeting the transmission rate requirements of robots, DTUs, drones, smart ports, smart grids, AR / VR wearables, learning computers, and other medium-speed mobile broadband devices.

With RedCap support, the Rx 255C optimizes the number of antennas, reduces transmit and receive bandwidth, and offers 64QAM / 256QAM (optional) modulation.

In addition, Rx 255C series supports L1+L5 dual-frequency GNSS positioning, which can provide accurate positioning services for intelligent terminals. It also offers PCIe 2.0, USB 2.0 and other interfaces for customer development, as well as auxiliary functions including VoLTE and DFOTA.
