Based on Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chip, relying on Xiaomi self-developed low delay communication link and Qualcomm Snapdragon Spaces, the communication delay between mobile phone and glasses is lower than 3ms, and the full link delay is as low as 50ms, which is comparable to the cable solution.

Xiaomi wireless AR glasses adopt the lightweight design of the whole machine, including magnesium-lithium alloy, carbon fiber parts, self-developed silicon-oxygen negative electrode battery and a large number of lightweight materials, the whole machine weighs only 126g. At the same time, based on tens of thousands of head data, accurately calibrate the center of gravity, leg spacing, holding angle, nose rest and other details of the glasses, so that users can get a better wearing experience.

Similar to the familiar concept of "retinal screen", there is a "threshold" in AR glasses: when the PPD (angular resolution) is close to 60, it is difficult for the human eye to detect graininess. The PPD of Xiaomi wireless AR glasses is 58, which is the closest to the "retina" specification in the industry.

In order to achieve such a clear picture, Xiaomi wireless AR glasses adopt a free-form surface optical module, which is composed of a pair of MicroOLED screens and a free-form surface light guide prism. A free-form surface prism can achieve complex light refraction and reflection in a limited volume. The content displayed on the screen is finally presented in front of the user through the reflection of three surfaces in the light guide prism.

This optical module design allows Xiaomi wireless AR glasses to have extremely low light loss and up to 1200nit brightness. The clear and bright picture provides a solid foundation for AR applications. Xiaomi wireless AR glasses are also equipped with electrochromic lenses to adapt to different light environments. Shading mode can provide immersion experience when watching movies, and transparent mode makes the experience of the combination of virtual and real AR more vivid.

Xiaomi wireless AR glasses are also equipped with innovative self-developed micro-gesture interaction. This kind of single-handed, small-scale pure gesture interaction is one of the development directions of human-computer interaction in the future.

Xiaomi uses the knuckle area of the palm as a gesture recognition area. Take the middle joint of the middle finger as the origin of the direction key, the second joint of the index finger as the upper, and then combine with other adjacent areas to form a four-way directional key to realize the basic mobile operation; 12 finger joints are exactly similar to the Chinese nine-key input method, and the thumb can be typed by pressing the thumb in the finger area; sliding the thumb on the index finger represents entering and exiting the application. In the future, Xiaomi also hopes to slide and click on the plane through the random movement of the thumb in the palm.

In the daily process of using an app, pick an app and open it, swipe the page, exit the app and return to the desktop, all of which can be interacted with microgestures on Xiaomi's wireless AR glasses without the need for a mobile phone.
