CTOnews.com February 27 news, Tesla Berlin super factory and Texas super factory after nearly two years of construction, both have been put into production last year, held a grand opening ceremony on March 22 and April 7, respectively, the production of Model Y also began to be delivered to users.

Tesla announced today that the Berlin plant has successfully exceeded the weekly production of 4000 Model Y units, from 3000 units per week (see CTOnews.com previously reported) to 4000 units in 70 days.

As Tesla's new vehicle factories, the increase in Model Y production at the Berlin Superplant and Texas Superplant will also enhance their ability to meet consumer demand in Europe and North America, increasing overall production.

Tesla currently has four passenger car plants, capacity at its Fremont, California, and Shanghai superplants is still increasing, and production and deliveries will continue to increase this year as production continues to rise at its Berlin and Texas superplants.

Tesla data show that in the fourth quarter of 2022, Tesla produced more than 439,000 vehicles worldwide and delivered more than 405,000 vehicles. For all of 2022, Tesla delivered 1.31 million vehicles worldwide, up 40% year-on-year; 1.37 million vehicles were produced, up 47% year-on-year.

Specifically, Tesla delivered 388131 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2022, and 17147 Model S and Model X vehicles.

Tesla said it continued its transition to "more balanced mass production for different regional markets," which led to a further increase in vehicles in transit at the end of the quarter.
