CTOnews.com February 27 news, Samsung said today that it can provide optimized solutions for in-car applications. Samsung currently manages about 400 memory projects and provides mass production of memory products for more than 60 customers.

▲ source: Samsung has reported that as cars become more intelligent and digital, the next generation of memory solutions will contribute to the memory-centric computing transformation. GDDR7, LPDDR5X and Samsung's in-car shared memory solutions are the three major technologies that support this transformation.

The data show that Samsung's gauge-grade GDDR7 is designed for ultra-high-bandwidth computing applications and uses GPU as an accelerator for data processing, supporting speeds up to 128GB / s. By connecting four to eight GDDR7 for each GPU, it can support data transfer rates up to 512 GB / s to 1 TB / s, thus meeting the requirements of high-speed automotive data processing.

CTOnews.com learned from Samsung officials that one way to further improve performance is to extend the IO (input / output) interface with multiple LPDDR5X. To this end, Samsung has developed LPDDR5X memory, which can support x64 IO per package, which is more than 50% smaller than the previous generation. Samsung vehicle shared memory solution APF SSD can meet the need to support in-car applications through shared storage.
