CTOnews.com Feb. 27, WindowsLatest said it has received reliable information that Microsoft will push Windows 11 22H2 "Moment 2" updates through production channels in the coming weeks.

Microsoft is preparing to push Moment 2 features to PC in all production channels, according to sources familiar with internal plans.

The process will begin in a few weeks, the source said, adding that it is expected to be launched sometime in March. This will be the first push of the Windows 11 22H2 Moment 2 update, and it is said that the second push (automatic push) will start in April or later.

For those who are not familiar with Win11, CTOnews.com may need a brief introduction. Unlike Windows 10, the update strategy of Windows 11 is to provide users with "creative updates" on a regular basis, and this frequent feature update is called "Moment" update within Microsoft, which is different from the last major Windows 11 feature update (that is, 22H2).

The first "Moment" update of Windows 11 22H2 brings some new features, such as the tabs / tabs of File Explorer, recommended actions for Edge and other applications, and more practical features.

The second update of Windows 11 22H2, known as "Moment 2", is expected to be rolled out in the coming weeks as part of the optional preview update for March 2023.

Unlike Moment 1, Moment 2 can be said to be a big update with some interesting features, such as an "optimized for tablet" taskbar. This new taskbar will be adjusted according to different form factors, making it easy for users to manage their tablets and desktops.

This taskbar optimized for tablets also brings a modern system tray pop-up window that can be managed directly through the setup application and also supports drag and drop.

In addition, another known addition is support for the search bar in the Task Manager, which allows you to find any particular application and end its process without having to rummage back and forth for a long list of running processes.

The new version also brings suggestions for other improvements in the settings, tabs in notepad, full-screen Windows widget panels, voice access improvements, third-party widget support from Facebook, screenshots in the screenshot tool, studio effects in the Notification Center Quick setup, and more.

In addition, Microsoft is trying to provide second support for clocks, but this feature is not included in the Moment 2 update. We expect this feature to appear through another cumulative update, possibly in April or May.
