Great Wall Motor said that Core Semiconductor will aim at developing third-generation power semiconductor SiC modules and application solutions, achieve domestic alternatives through independent research and development, and efficiently integrate and develop upstream and downstream resources to achieve independent control of the power semiconductor industry chain.

Great Wall sold 61519 cars in January, down 44.96 per cent from January last year. Great Wall Motor sold 6313 new energy vehicles in January and 11101 in December last year, a sharp drop from the previous month. Overseas sales of 15998 units in January, up from 20296 in December last year.

Great Wall Motor has previously said it will fully embrace new energy in 2023 and is expected to launch more than 10 new energy vehicles.
