CTOnews.com, February 26, according to the website of the Chongqing Municipal people's Government, the General Office of the Chongqing Municipal people's Government has now issued policies and measures for Chongqing to further support the development of market entities and promote economic stabilization and recovery (hereinafter referred to as "measures").

The "measures" point out that subsidies for the replacement of new energy vehicles and the consumption of green smart home appliances will be implemented.

From March 1 to June 30, 2023, individual consumers who sell or scrap or cancel old passenger cars registered in their own name for more than 6 months and buy new and new energy passenger cars will be given a financial subsidy of 1000-3000 yuan per vehicle according to the standard.

From March 1 to June 30, 2023, an one-time subsidy of 10% and up to 1000 yuan will be given to individual consumers who buy green smart home appliances.

Prior to this, the Chongqing Economic and Informatization Commission issued a number of policies and measures on Chongqing's industrial economy in January this year, saying that it would speed up the cultivation of intelligent network-connected new energy vehicle industry clusters. Specific measures include:

Support enterprises to build or upgrade intelligent network connected automobile data platform, build intelligent network connected automobile application scenario (test field), and grant a subsidy of up to 5 million yuan according to 30% of the project investment. Support enterprises to develop intelligent car control, intelligent cockpit, intelligent driving, car-end network connection and other intelligent network automobile core supporting products, with a subsidy of up to 3 million yuan.

A maximum of 5 million yuan will be given to the research and development of new new energy passenger vehicles, up to 8 million yuan for hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles, and up to 3 million yuan for the announcement and inspection of new energy models.

For new energy vehicle manufacturers to obtain special financing products used to advance subsidies for the purchase of new energy vehicles, a discount subsidy of up to 5 million yuan will be given. Construction subsidies and operation subsidies shall be given to hydrogen filling stations that have been completed and put into operation and which meet the subsidy standards.

CTOnews.com has reported that according to data from the China Automobile Association, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 425,000 and 408000 respectively in January 2023, down 46.6% and 49.9% respectively from the previous month, 6.9% and 6.3% respectively from the same period last year, and the market share reached 24.7%.
