Motorola Defy 2 will cater to the North American, Latin American and Canadian markets, including a 12-month Essential program subscription. CAT S75 smartphones are sold in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including a three-month free trial of Bullitt sEssentials services.

The Essential package starts at $4.99 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 35 yuan) and receives 30 two-way messages and 12 months of SOS emergency calls per month. Another $59.99 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 418 yuan) plans to provide 250 satellite-based messages and emergency response services each year.

Motorola Defy 2 and CAT S75 smartphones use MediaTek-based satellite two-way communication technology, allowing users to connect with other users even when cellular and Wi-Fi services are not available. Support for the first satellite-based direct-to-device Android mobile messaging service, called Bullitt Satellite Messenger. The service is built using the 3GPP definition standard. 3GPP is used to refer to the various standards used to develop mobile telecommunications protocols.

MediaTek's independent chipset MT6825, based on the 3GPP NTN standard, can be integrated into its flagship smartphone to provide a seamless satellite communications experience. Can be connected to geosynchronous orbit (GEO) satellites, easy to convert to 3GPP NTN standard satellite network. MediaTek MT6825 allows devices to automatically receive information from satellites, unlike similar solutions that require users to check information manually, providing a seamless satellite communications experience.
