CTOnews.com, February 25, Intel recently released a new generation of Xeon W2400 and W3400 workstation processors, accompanied by a W790 motherboard. The upcoming flagship W790 motherboard model of Asustek is Pro WS W790E-SAGE SE, and the official picture reward has now been released.

Asustek Pro WS W790E-SAGE SE motherboard uses EEB board type, which is much larger than the common ATX motherboard and uses LGA 4677 slots.

According to reports, the Asustek Pro WS W790-Sage SE supports seven PCIe 5.0x16 slots, one of which is an x8 slot electrically, and supports eight channels of memory with a maximum capacity of 2 TB. Its M.2 slots are all of type 22110, two of the three slots support PCIe 5.0and the third slot supports PCIe 4.0. There are eight SATA ports and two SAS ports. The motherboard is equipped with dual 10 Gbps Ethernet ports supported by Intel hardware and M.2 slots for Wi-Fi modules.

At present, Asustek has not yet announced the price and launch time of the Pro WS W790E-SAGE SE motherboard.
