CTOnews.com, February 25, the DomyFan is a portable touchscreen display with built-in stereo speakers, mini HDMI and USB Type-C inputs, and unusual aspect ratio resolution. This is a 12.3-inch, 1920x860 pixel screen with an aspect ratio of 16:7.

The Chinese manufacturer behind DomyFan said it retailed at a retail price of $259 when shipments began in April (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 1803 yuan), but is now conducting a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign and offering supporters a 50 per cent or more discount.

The DomyFan display supports 10:00 multi-touch input, has a bracket that can be supported on the table, and an VESA mounting hole that allows it to be connected to a wall mount or display bracket. The DomyFan is made of aluminum and measures 387.4 mm x 149.9 mm x 25.8mm. (CTOnews.com Note: 387.4 inches x 5.9 inches x 1 inch).

The display has an IPS LCD screen with a 172-degree viewing angle, a brightness of up to 300 nits and a 100% sRGB gamut. The screen can be used vertically or horizontally.

The ports include 1 mini HDMI input, 2 USB 3.1 Type-C ports (which can be used to connect the monitor, power the monitor, or for data transmission), and 2 USB 2.0 ports (which can be used for mice, keyboards, storage devices, or other peripherals).

If the user uses the monitor with a USB Power Delivery-enabled PC, a USB-C cable can be used as video, touchscreen, and power input. However, if you plug in a smartphone, game console, or other device, you may need a separate power supply.
