CTOnews.com, February 25 (Xinhua)-- NASA's Chandra X-Ray Observatory (Chandra Observatory) recently discovered two colliding supermassive black holes, the first time humans have witnessed such an astronomical event.

The two black holes are located in dwarf galaxies (dwarf galaxies, stars with no more than 30 solar masses), which astronomers believe have merged to form larger galaxies.

If you look at the picture above, the one on the left represents Abell 133. this is a galaxy cluster 760 million light-years away. The image on the right shows Abell 1758S, another galaxy cluster 3.2 billion light-years away.

In this example, collisions and merges have occurred, as you can see from the swinging tail generated at the top. The merged galaxies are named Mirabilis, after hummingbird species with similar long tails.
