CTOnews.com February 25 news, Microsoft admitted that it recently issued a full-screen reminder to Win10 devices that do not meet the upgrade conditions, recommending that they upgrade to Win11 system. However, Microsoft said that the recent media reports of the incident are isolated and only occur in rare cases.

Microsoft has updated the Windows Health Console today, confirming that it inadvertently introduced Win11 to unsupported Windows 10 devices and saying the issue will be fixed in the next 48 hours.

CTOnews.com translated Microsoft update logs as follows:

Some Windows 10 and Win11 21H2 devices that are not eligible for hardware upgrades receive Win11 upgrade alerts. These devices that received the alert were not compliant with running Win11 systems. Devices experiencing this issue cannot complete the upgrade installation process.

The issue was detected on February 23, 2023 and resolved the same day.

Solution:

This issue has been resolved. All affected equipment may take 24 to 48 hours to mitigate. Affected users do not need to take any action.
