CTOnews.com February 25 news, after Alpablet announced 12000 layoffs in January this year, according to foreign science and technology media Wired reports, plans to close the Everyday Robots project.

It was reported that Alphabet had disbanded the working group on the Everyday Robots project, which was later confirmed by a Google spokesman.

Some of the employees and technology of the Everyday Robots project will be integrated into Google Research, but the remaining employees will lose their jobs. There was no mention of layoffs in the report.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that the Everyday Robots project was launched in 2019 to focus on creating robot assistants for home and office environments. The goals of the project include taking out the trash, cleaning the table, and better serving human beings.
