CTOnews.com, February 25, Microsoft released a troubleshooting guide this week listing "known problems" with organizations using Microsoft Intune to distribute Microsoft Store applications.

Microsoft added Microsoft Store applications to Microsoft Intune last year, allowing administrators to browse, deploy and monitor Microsoft Store applications within Intune. After deployment, applications are automatically kept up-to-date when a new version of Intune is available.

Microsoft said in the troubleshooting Guide that the Microsoft Store application does not appear in the search results, and CTOnews.com lists it as follows:

Applications that are not available in the current area of the user

Applications for children under 12 years of age

Unsupported paid applications

Android apps are not supported. Accessing the Android application requires additional steps and applications.

Microsoft Store applications for enterprises that are not publicly available in consumer stores.

Cannot be downloaded and managed through Intune.

Win32 applications are not supported

After selecting a Win32 application from the search results, you may see a banner that says "this application is not supported in the preview" and you cannot continue. Some Win32 applications are either we do not have enough information or are unreliable to detect, install, or upgrade, so they are filtered out because they may not be managed successfully.
