CTOnews.com, February 25 (Xinhua)-- California-based Relativity Space recently announced that the world's first 3D-printed rocket, the Terran 1, will be launched in March.

The launch mission is called "GLHF", an acronym for "Good Luck, Have Fun" (good luck and have fun). The rocket will be launched on March 8 from LC-16, Cape Canaveral, Florida, with a launch window at 1 p.m. EDT (2 a.m. Beijing time on March 9).

Relativity Space says the 2-stage consumable rocket is made by 3D printing and is 110ft high and 7.5ft wide. There are nine Aeon engines in the first stage of the rocket and one Aeon Vac engine in the second stage.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that 85% of the Terran 1 rocket is made by 3D printing, and the company says it will push it to 95% in the future. GLHF will be the company's first orbital attempt and will not carry any customer payloads.
