CTOnews.com learned from the report that before joining Apple, Fry served as chief revenue officer of digital video advertising company Simulmedia and previously held advertising sales positions at AT&T and Comcast. It can be said that Fry has many years of experience in advertising revenue.

The Information said it was unclear what role Fry would take after joining Apple, but it was certain that she would help build the video advertising business for Apple TV+ streaming service.

Reports last year pointed to Apple expanding its advertising team for Apple TV+. The company is currently expanding its live sports content to generate higher revenue through embedded ads. Apple's 10-year contract with Major League Soccer officially begins this weekend.
