CTOnews.com February 24, Microsoft expects to release Win11 22H2 Moment 2 update in March this year, which will fix the problem of slow file replication. Microsoft initially thought the problem was with the server message block (SMB) protocol, but it later confirmed that the problem was with the kernel itself.

In an update to Win11 Build 25252 released on November 28, Microsoft said:

Fixed an issue where network-to-local replication (for example, copying files from a network share) was slower than some users expected.

In the December 14 update, Microsoft continued to write:

The Win11 Build 25267 preview also provides an upgraded fix. This version fixes a problem where restartable copies of files with alternate data streams (such as using Robocopy) often get stuck. The updated fix will be incorporated into the monthly cumulative update via Windows Update after the Windows Insider channel has been verified.

Microsoft mentioned again in the Win11 Build 22621.1343 (KB5022913) update log that CTOnews.com was translated as follows:

We fixed an issue that affected copying from the network to the local drive. Some users copy more slowly than expected.
