Bigme said that E Ink Kaleido 3 is based on color printed electronic paper technology (Print Color ePaper technology), using the principle of RGB color display, so that the black and white electronic paper film presents a warm color display performance, which is an upgraded version of Kaleido Plus.

Compared with the previous generation of E Ink Kaleido Plus, Kaleido 3 black and white resolution increased from 1872: 1404 to 2480: 1860, from 227PPI to 300ppi; color resolution increased from 117PPI to 150PPI, color saturation increased by 30%, and support for animation and video playback.

In addition to improving color performance, E Ink Kaleido 3 is equipped with "E Ink ComfortGaze", a front light designed by the E Ink front light design team. E Ink ComfortGaze front light technology reduces the amount of blue light reflected from the display surface and provides better comfort when reading, reducing BLR (Blue Light Ratio) and BLTF (Blue Light Toxicity Factor) by up to 60% and 24% respectively compared to the previous generation of front light designs.

In addition, CTOnews.com found that compared with the previous generation, the thickness of the Bigme inkNote Color+ smart office book has increased from 6.6mm to 6.9mm, and the rest of the configuration remains basically the same.
