Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, February 23, according to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, 19:49 on February 23, Beijing time, the long March 3B carrier rocket (referred to as "Chang 3B rocket") blasted off from the Xichang Satellite launch Center, sending the China Star 26 satellite into the scheduled orbit smoothly, and the launch mission was a complete success.

China Satellite 26, which is purchased and managed by China Satcom, a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., is China's first high-throughput satellite with a capacity of more than 100 Gbps, and is also a new generation of high-throughput broadband communication satellite that meets the requirements of satellite Internet and communication transmission. The satellite is mainly used to provide high-speed broadband access services for fixed terminals and vehicle / ship / airborne terminals.

Zhongxing 26, China's first super-100 G high-throughput satellite, will be located at 125 degrees east longitude, according to China Satcom. After the delivery of the star, the aerospace science and technology group China Satcom will be responsible for the operation and management, and the China Satellite Star team will add its 17th new member.

Zhongxing 26 adopts the Dongfanghong 4 enhanced satellite platform independently developed in China, and uses the hybrid propulsion design of electric propulsion and chemical propulsion, which can carry more payloads. The Ka band high-throughput communication payload designed on board mainly covers the whole territory of China and its surrounding areas and waters, East Asia, Southeast Asia, parts of South Asia, Pacific and Indian Ocean and so on. The satellite is an important national space infrastructure and a new generation of high-throughput communication satellites that meet the requirements of satellite Internet and communication transmission.

Since China Satcom will work with China Satcom's existing China Star 16 and China Star 19 high-throughput satellites to provide high-speed private network communications and satellite Internet access for China and the aviation, navigation, emergency, energy, forest and grass industries and universal service users along the "Belt and Road Initiative" route, provide safe, reliable and seamless information transmission means for remote areas, and further narrow the "digital gap" between urban and rural areas. And effectively meet the huge demand for broadband communication in air travel and long voyage.

CTOnews.com Note: according to the law of technical iterative update, satellite networks are divided into different frequency bands such as L, ku and ka. The experience of traditional Ku band satellite network is similar to that of terrestrial 2G or 3G network; Ka satellite landed late in China, and the working range of Ka band is 26.5~40GHz, which far exceeds C band (3.95~8.2GHz) and Ku band (12.4~18.0GHz). Ka band satellite communication is especially suitable for broadband digital transmission, high-speed satellite communication and so on.
