The production of the Genisys GV70 electric car at the Alabama plant means that under the new electric vehicle subsidy program that came into effect in the United States last year, consumers who buy their electric car will be eligible for a subsidy of $7500 from the United States, which in turn reduces the purchase cost of consumers and attracts more consumers.

Hyundai began producing the Genisseth GV70 at its plant in Alabama, another important move to produce electric cars in the United States after construction began at an electric car and battery plant in Georgia.

Hyundai Motor's $5.54 billion electric car and battery plant in Georgia will have an annual production capacity of 300000 vehicles when completed, and is scheduled to start production in the first half of 2025.
