CTOnews.com, February 23 (Xinhua)-- Nintendo is already developing the next generation of Switch game consoles, according to documents recently disclosed by the UK Competition and Market Authority (CMA). CMA is currently reviewing the Activision Blizzard acquisition, and Reddit netizens have found clues about the next generation of Switch hosts in Section 7 of Appendix C.

There is a passage in the document that CTOnews.com translates as follows: "Nintendo's cloud service runs only on Nintendo Switch devices and [x]." Although the deleted part does not explicitly mention the next generation of Switch hosts, many media, including NotebookCheck, believe that this is Switch 2.

As for the Nintendo Switch 2, it was rumored to be equipped with a Nvidia Tegra T239 chip that supports up to 4 TFLOPs of GPU processing capacity. The GPU performance of the original Switch game console was 0.3932 TFLOP (0.5 TFLOP when plugged in), which is a 10-fold performance improvement.

@ foxygames_uk provides a more conservative and arguably credible guess that Nintendo Switch 2 may provide 2.4 TFLOPs, about six times the current Switch, somewhere between PS4 and PS4 Pro GPU performance.
