CTOnews.com, February 23, according to CCTV news, the laying of the main track of the Guangzhou-Shanwei high-speed railway (referred to as "Guangzhou-Shanwei high-speed railway") was successfully completed today, laying a solid foundation for the joint commissioning and test of the whole line on schedule.

As a part of the national coastal high-speed railway network, the Guangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway connects Beijing-Guangzhou, Guangzhou-Shenzhen, Hangzhou-Shenzhen, Beijing-Hong Kong and other high-speed railways, and is an important part of the "Dawan area on the track" high-speed railway backbone network.

The Guangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway is designed to run at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, with a total length of 202 kilometers. Xintang, Zengcheng South, Luofushan, Boluo, Huicheng South, Huidong, Shenshan and Shanwei stations have been set up.

Railway authorities say the Guangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway is scheduled to open this year. CTOnews.com has reported that after the Guangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway is completed and opened to traffic, the train running time from Guangzhou to Shanwei will be reduced from 2 hours to about 40 minutes.
